Updates

Leo gets up with us and heads outside with our other dogs while we get their food ready. Leo and the dogs come in to eat, then it is back outside again for about 10 mins to burn off some energy. Leo & the dogs are in the kennel for about 6-7 hours during the day while we are at work.

Leo loves attention, he wants to be as close to you as he can at all times. He is a very curious dog. Children must prepare for a licking attack when Leo is around. He does have a few playful nips every once and a great while, but a stern no stops him in his tracks.

Currently we have not had any leash training with Leo, he roams with his buddies in our fenced in back yard. Energy levels are what you would expect from a puppy, but he does have plenty of calm sleepy moments. He plays very well with his brother and our Lab. We have not noticed anything over the top rough.

Leo and the other pups do get a little rough with our laid-back cat because he's much closer to their size than our 100lb lab. The cat is tolerant with about 95% of the play, but just runs off to high ground if the puppies become too much.

For the most part, Leo handles being left alone well. Nothing outside the norms of a puppy, whine for a bit and then settles down. I do see a bit of separation anxiety. He would do good in a home where he will receive lots of attention, or with another dog that is not very territorial. Other than that, he is a very smart and attentive dog.
