Congrats to Lacey on her adoption October 13, 2020!
Lacey wakes up around 8 am and goes outside right away. She then eats 2 cups of her food for breakfast. She plays with her toys, cuddles in bed, and goes on a morning walk. She eats 1 scoop of food around 12 pm for lunch. Each time she eats we take her outside right away. She loves laying the front yard, watching the cars go by, and chewing on any sticks or leaves she finds. Throughout the day she likes to cuddle up on the couch and be surrounded by people. She eats dinner around 5 pm and then goes on her nightly walk. We put her back in the crate for bed around 9 pm.
Lacey loves people. She loves going up and saying hi to other people and giving them a nice big kiss on the face. She is the happiest when she is being pet. She enjoys when when people hold her and is a very social dog.
She does well on a leash, but when she sees a squirrel she tends to run at it and pull. Lacey used to like to be right next to you when you walked her, but now is more independent and leads the walk. She goes on 2 walks a day minimum. She likes to look around and explore her surroundings. Lacey has moments of high energy where all she wants to do is play and run around the house, but usually settles down afterwards.
Lacey has seen other dogs on our walks and has only had a few different reactions. She will sometimes stop and just watch them go by or she will sit until the dog comes up to her. Her tail wags immediately when she starts interacting with them. She doesn't bark and does very good around other dogs. She would love to play with them all day if she could.
She has only been left alone for a few hours at a time where we will put her in her crate. She usually falls asleep, but we give her a few toys to keep her occupied.
Lacey is a very loving dog. She loves to be surrounded by her people and will cuddle with you at just about any time of the day. She is a curious little puppy but quickly learns what she can and cannot get into.
