PUPDATE #3

Tornado sirens, big and loud construction equipment, and riding lawn mowers OH MY!! But no need to worry.... Our foster momma said that we're no longer the cowardly lion, we earned our Courage Badge! WOOHOO! Do we still get spooked on occasion, sure, BUT we've gotten so much more confident each time we've gone out for walks! Our foster momma even offered us special treats for our bravery.... Unfortunately our foster momma thought healthy blueberries and watermelon would be a tasty treat for us, really foster momma?? She did offer us each a piece of boiled chicken instead, which is definitely one of our favorite treats, like EVER! And it's also healthy for us!

We also aren't necessarily big fans of the cold rain, but our foster momma dries us off when we get back home and snuggles us into her blanket to warm us up, which definitely makes us super happy puppers!!

PUPDATE #2

Our foster momma wanted us to share some great news with you from today. We both woke up on the silly side of the bed this morning, ready for love and really really ready to play! After playing with momma for a little while, we jumped out of bed and when we both had a big stretch, we were facing each other and had our paws on top of each other. Momma said we were way too cute and she was sad that she wasn't able to get a picture of our cuteness. She said she knew that that picture would make you fall head-over-heels in love with us!! Then we went for a nice long walk. We had a firetruck and ambulance go past us with their sirens on while on our walk. We didn't panic or try to run away, we walked over to momma's legs and looked up at her for reassurance! She gave us that reassurance and bent down giving us pets and told us how good we were and how proud of us she was! We're also both getting more confident in walking further away from momma to sniff around too!

PUPDATE #1

Kona and Copper like to burrow under the blankets to sleep. We wake up and go outside, then breakfast and some playtime, then depending on if I work on site or at home, we go for a longer walk or settle in for some meetings, then go outside for a longer walk. When I get home from work, we go outside again for a long walk, then some playtime and then dinner.

KONA:

Kona does pretty well with people of all ages, both inside and outside of my home. Quick movements can be a bit scary for him, but with praise and pets, he gains his confidence and is ok.

Kona absolutely LOVES soft toys with squeaker toys! He loves to chase after them, but will not bring them back to you. He loves playing tug-of-war with them until he wins it and then he wants to chew on it on his own.

Kona is indifferent with other dogs outside of my home. I don't have other dogs, besides his bonded sister Copper, inside of my home.

Unknown how Kona does with cats.

I put him and his sister in a crate when I leave, it takes a while for them to settle down in the crate. But they do settle down after a while.

Kona is an absolute sweetheart who needs time to settle into a new place. He would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard away from a busy road, and with people who are home most of the time. He is an absolute sweetheart who needs the extra love and attention he deserves.

COPPER:

Copper burrows into the blankets to sleep when we first go to bed, but then comes out and sleeps on my pillow during the night. We get up in the morning, go out to use the bathroom and then in for breakfast.

Copper does very well with people inside my home, she does well with people outside of my home as long as they don't move too quickly or try to pick her up until she has enough time to get to smell/know them.

She has met many children of all ages and has done pretty well with them all, she prefers older kids who don't move too fast or sneak up on her. But with praise, she does do well with all ages.

Copper doesn't play much, but does love long walks. She will have zoomies and play with your hands on occasion, but doesn't play with toys too much.

Copper needs to be reminded of using her manners when it comes to barking both inside and outside of the home, but when you remind her she does stop barking. She absolutely loves going for long walks, being adventurous when being outside!

Unknown how Copper does with cats.

Copper is crate trained, but takes a while to settle in. She barks quite a bit and gets Kona riled up and barking too. Copper does not chew on any non-toys, but does dig at non-toys until they're comfortable enough for her to snuggle into.

Copper is the absolute sweetest foster pup I've had so far. She is adventurous and loving, but would be her best in a home with a fenced in back yard away from a busy street, and with a person/people who are home more than they are away.
