Updates
Harper gets up around 6 am and immediately goes outside with his foster sister. When we are back inside, he gets fed breakfast and then some treats after. He will play a bit while I get ready for work, and then he is gated in the kitchen. When I am at work he is gated in the kitchen with water and potty pads. Harper is a young puppy who will need an adopter able to provide a mid-day potty and lunch break. When I get home, we go outside right away for potty and a walk. He will be full of energy so he will want to play once we are back home. If he is tired, he may take a nap before dinner. He will get fed dinner between 5:30 and 6. We will go outside several more times between dinner and bed. He will play with toys or nap by my side.
Harper is a very friendly dog. He loves meeting new people. I have not seen Harper interact with children, but he is friendly with everyone else he has met.
Harper is full on puppy and has lots of energy. He loves to play with toys and jump around a lot. He will go on a several short walks each day. He does very well on a leash but sometimes gets curious and sniffs around a lot. Harper has lived with two dogs during his time as a foster and has gotten along well with both of them and tries to get them to play all the time. When he sees another dog on a walk, he will be a bit hesitant at first, but will then want to play with them.
I have not seen Harper interact with cats.
Harper does OK when left alone. He does not like it at first and will whine for a bit when I gate him for work. But he eventually settles down and will sleep/play with toys.
Harper is still a young puppy and will need a bit of training from his new owners to learn good behaviors. He has a tendency to jump up and play bite when he is excited. He still has all of his puppy teeth, and they are a bit sharp. You will have to watch him when he is out and about as he likes to explore the world with his mouth still. He does well using potty pads indoors and is learning outdoor potty training. As long as he is taken out every few hours, he will learn fast. Harper will sleep in a kennel all night. He will whine a bit when you first put him in but will quiet down quickly.
Harper is full on puppy — a little ball of energy who could play all day!
