Updates

Luke gets up when I do at around 6am and eats. He would likely sleep longer if I wasn't up. I then feed him and take him for a 30 min. walk. He typically lays down after his walk and we go for another 15 min. walk around lunch time. He then rests and eats around 5pm in preparation for our night walk around 7pm. I have found that he can go from 7:30pm to 6am without going outside.

Luke is really amazing around other dogs, cats, kids, and people in general. He is such a well mannered dog. The best I've ever been around. Luke has spent many days with my nieces and nephews and their friends. He is really good around children. I do not have another dog inside the home but he is great with dogs outside of the home. His last foster said he seemed happiest around other dogs. Luke also does great with my 5 year old cat who has never been around a dog. I was nervous about this and it couldn't have went better. He's just such a kind dog.

Luke has low energy. He mainly rests outside of the 3 walks per day. He doesn't play much and would prefer resting by your feet. He is great on a leash.

Luke does well and typically rests when left alone. I have no concerns leaving him home alone.

Luke tested positive for lyme, a tick-borne disease, but is not showing any clinical signs. A positive result for lyme just indicates antibodies to these bacteria, not necessarily active infection. Per our rescue protocol, he is currently being given a round of antibiotics.

Luke is the most well mannered, gentle, and friendly dog. I get a lot of compliments on his demeanor when out for walks. He will be such a good companion.
