In a typical day, Kipsy goes out once in the morning, has breakfast, naps and snuggles, likes to take a walk in the afternoon or evening, and then dinner, more snuggles and out once more before bed.
She is a delight with all types of people no matter what setting she is in. She has had minimal exposure to children.
Kipsy is quite mellow, would likely nap all day and most of the night. She does really enjoy at least one walk a day. She does play when encouraged. She does best with a comfy harness and a short leash. We have been working on her leash walking skills, she tends to walk into your legs and it works best to keep her on a short leash.
When interacting with other dogs, she is respectful of other dog's space. She and our own dog sometimes snuggle and share spaces very well. She patiently greets other dogs on walks. She has also done well with our cats. She ignored our kitten's silly swats and antics.
Kipsy is a senior gal who is beginning to show her age: She is timid walking on smooth floors and stairs but will navigate them. She tolerates being carried down stairs at times and sometimes leaps down too many stairs. She doesn't mind being in the car but prefers to be on someone's lap. She tested positive for Lyme at a recent vet appointment and is completing a course of antibiotics per rescue protocol. Kipsy is a bit stiff in the joints at times but gets around well. She has cataracts in both eyes and struggles with depth and peripheral vision, especially on walks. She is mostly deaf. Finally, she is in need of a dental cleaning in the near future.
Kipsy is such a sweetheart. She cuddles and lightly plays with her hedgehog named Hector. She goes wild with chasing the blue laser pointer we have for our cats. She barked and pounced on it! She even tried to catch it in her mouth. Shes so adorable and loves to snuggle any human.
