Jax was happy to call adoption day August 2, 2020!
Jax has been such a sweet buddy to us this past month. He is such a playful, loving, good natured puppy who enjoys snuggles galore when he isn’t playing with other dogs or humans. Jax is a typical puppy with lots of energy and eagerly awaiting to meet his furever home.
Jax has a consistent sleep and play schedule. He wakes up around 6am and is ready to go bathroom and eat his breakfast, but he will then fall back asleep for a few more hours. When he wakes up, Jax is ready to go out again and have some playtime. He then eats lunch around 11-12pm and takes another nap. When Jax wakes up, he is ready to play again on and off with some short naps until dinner time between 5pm-6pm. Jax naps a bit and then plays again until about 8pm when he crashes for the night.
He loves every dog and human he has ever met, even some grumpy old dogs! Jax has met a bunch of kids and has been great with them, often times he even rolls onto his back when meeting new kids.
Jax is a typical puppy who needs a good amount of playtime. He does great walking on a leash and stays close by off leash. We’ve taken him on many adventures- including hikes, canoe rides, and road trips, and he absolutely loves it.
He has met many dogs and LOVES playing with them all. He has met a few neighborhood cats and hasn't showed much interest in them.
Because of Covid, Jax has never been left alone. It may take some getting use to for him, but he is a really adaptable pup! Jax doing a really good job with going to the bathroom outside with minimal indoor accidents as long as you take him out right when he wakes up. He will sit by the door and give you a bark when he needs to go outside.
Jax is very food motivated and has already learned to sit, lay down, and is working on stay and come.
Since we’ve taken Jax on canoeing and boating adventures, he has begun to love the water but still needs some encouragement from other dogs to show him that water isn’t so scary.
Jax would be a perfect companion for all your future adventures! Jax would love to have a dog playmate or an active family to help get his energy out Jax is loves snuggles and physical touch. He loves belly rubs, ear rubs, and to be held. He is a dream puppy who loves to play and so good natured and friendly. He is a very special dog and will be a lucky addition to an active, loving family.
