Meet Jackie, a two-year-old black lab mix looking for a strong leader who can keep up with her active lifestyle! Jackie has gone through a board & train program with Canine Clarity and will benefit from a home who is patient with her quirks while able to advocate for her and continue to help her become her best self. To start you and Jackie off on the right foot with your new life together, we will make sure you have a go-home session with the Canine Clarity trainers.

Jackie is a high energy pup who can walk for 40 minutes, spend an hour and a half running on the treadmill, and still have energy to play with other dogs. If you're looking for a walk around the block then snuggle on the couch the rest of the day kind of pup, Jackie is not your girl! Keeping up with her exercise needs will also maintain her balanced training foundation. If you're a marathon runner, long-distance hiker, and/or have an equally high-energy pup looking for a playmate - you just might be the home Jackie is looking for!

She does well with dogs; she participates in pack walks, structured daycare, and social time with other Fetch pups and there have not been problems with Jackie in the yard. She does have some resource guarding tendencies with humans and with dogs. With her trainers, she is no longer possessive of her food, but if there is a new toy or object that she can get into her possession, her resource guarding can kick in.

Jackie's biggest struggle is meeting new people indoors. She does fine meeting people outside of the home. This means, she'd really prefer a home without lots of comings and goings. Her trainers have been working on introductions with people and will provide tips and a plan to facilitate introductions safely.

Jackie is prong collar trained and receptive to prong collar corrections to keep her reactivity in check. Bonus points? She has impeccable leash manners and hardly ever walks in front of humans while on leash!
