Izzy found her forever family on November 1, 2020!
Izzy gets let out in the morning around 7am to go to the bathroom. She eats breakfast and then plays with her foster brother for a bit before lying down to nap or chew on a bone. She goes outside with her foster siblings late morning to run around for a bit, gets a walk in the afternoon, goes out after dinner, and gets let out before bed. Izzy is pretty medium to low energy. She's always up for playing with her foster brother, but if he's napping she's fine chilling on the bed or chewing on toys.
She likes meeting new people. Izzy’s pretty submissive with new people but not afraid of them. She has not met any children.
Izzy is a lower medium energy dog. She gets the zoomies outside once and awhile and will get a little restless if she has too much pent-up energy. A short walk, sometime outside, and a few play sessions with her foster brother is all she needs and then she's pretty content to lie around the rest of the day.
She lives with two other dogs and does very well with them. She has a foster brother that likes playing so they will wrestle in the morning and then cuddle on the bed while I work. She has a foster sister that doesn't interact much with her and they both think that's just fine. Izzy has not shown any aggression towards either dog.
Izzy did well when she met a cat. She was slightly interested and shied away when the cat made noise. She did start to show more interest when the cat started moving around, but lost interest quickly.
When I leave the house, Izzy stays in my guest room and she does very well. She hasn't showed interest in any of the furniture or items in the room. A few times when Izzy is out while I'm not watching her she has started chewing on non-toys (hat, dog bed, reusable bag). She's very easy to correct and she is still a puppy, so she will need some training to know what she can and cannot chew on.
Izzy is a sweetheart. She loves attention and when she feels like she's not getting enough she will lay on whatever part of you she can. She's quick to learn routines and her confidence has grown the longer she has stayed with me and been given some structure; more and more of her goofy personality comes out every day. She would do very well in a family that wants a sweet, cuddly dog to spend time with.
