PUPDATE 3
Ida is doing so well. She has really been maturing and her confidence is growing. She’s been going to daycare on the weekends and it’s been really helpful. The staff there wishes she has a brother or sister pup as she loves dogs. Her leash training is going great and she knows the neighbors. She has about a month left with her shark teeth but has really turned the corner for listening and sit and lay down. She is social now and even though she stays by me initially, will venture to others. She’s about 80% potty trained
She’s getting a voice so maybe not apartment living.
PUPDATE 2
Ida started daycare and her confidence is getting better. She is understanding going outside and her leash training is going smoothly. We socialize in the neighborhood and everyone is soft with her when she’s scared. She’s doing so well!
PUPDATE 1
We wake up and Ida gets kibble right away and she loves her food. I give her ten minutes then we go outside for her to do her business. She is good in her puppy pen when I am at work. I come home at lunch for more kibble and another walk. I go back to work and do the same at night. We play and work on commands in the evening.
Ida is shy at first and looks to me for comfort. She needs slow intros and then she is great with people. Inside the house is the same - she is really interested in people but just needs to get used to them slowly.
The boys across the street have been really gentle with Ida and she does great with kids.
Ida is a baby. She has a lot of energy and then collapses in puppy sleep. She has sharp puppy teeth and nails but she is growing quickly!
With slow intros, Ida does fine with other dogs. She barked at my big dog at first and came to me for comfort, but now they see each other through the puppy pen and sniff and are interested in each other. The neighbor dog is a little overbearing but she held her own.
Ida would cry when she was first left alone, but now that we are on a schedule, she does great.
As a puppy, Ida is working on potty training. She is about 75% there, but we always go to the same place and she knows what to do. She drinks super fast, so I only give her a little water at a time to slow her down.
Overall, Ida is a sweet and shy girl who would love a home with a solid routine.
