Updates

Hulk sleeps in his kennel at night. He whines when he hears us get up at about 6am. We let him out to go potty and to eat breakfast. He plays with our resident dog and goes out one or two more times before we kennel him while we work from home. He is let out around noon to go outside again and is kenneled for the afternoon. In the evening he loves to snuggle on the couch while we watch TV. He sleeps through the night most nights but when he first came to our home he woke up in the middle of the night and went outside to go potty.

Hulk is a bit shy when meeting new people. He looks to his people for comfort and does better with greeting when one of his people is close by. He has met several people while in our home and does not growl at them but is nervous at first. Hulk has not been around children under the age of 13. He has done well with our children who are 13 and 15.

Hulk has energy when he gets out of his kennel and likes to play with our resident dog. He has done well on the leash and likes to go for walks. Hulk does well with our resident yellow lab. He is a small dog with a big dog heart. He loves to wrestle and chase.

Hulk is kenneled when he is left alone. The longest he has been in his kennel while we were gone was about 6 hours. He did chew a remote while we were home and not in the same room with him so does still act like a puppy.

Hulk is an escape artist and can climb a 5-foot fence. He also managed to break a collar and get out of our fenced in yard while out on a chain. He did come back into our yard on his own within about 30 minutes but will need to be closely monitored when outside.

Hulk was positive for Anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease, in March but is not showing any clinical signs. A positive result for Anaplasmosis just indicates antibodies to this bacteria, not necessarily active infection. Per our rescue protocol, he is currently being given a round of antibiotics.

Hulk is a pretty quiet dog. He sometimes whines in his kennel when he can hear that you are home but he does not bark very often.

He is a very sweet and cuddly dog who loves belly rubs.
