PUPDATE 5
Clasby is such a wonderful dog to have around the house. He is so full of love and joy and just wants to be wherever his people are. Even though he has moved between a few houses, he is very quick to make himself comfortable. He is well crate trained, and often feels safer staying in the crate than being left out, even for a short period of time. He is always so excited when his people come home, and will do a little dance and sometimes whine out of excitement.
Clasby has been working on his leash manners and is much better about not pulling or walking too quickly. He has learned how to respond to a clicker on walks and will turn around for a treat. He does get excited when he sees squirrels, but he will not try to run over to them anymore. He loves to say hi to people and dogs when they walked by, sometimes a little too much. He has a very curious dog and just wants to sniff everything, especially if it might be food.
PUPDATE 4
Clasby is adjusting well to the colder weather and is very patient while he gets his booties and sweater on before going outside. He loves to go on long walks with frequent stops to smell the world. Clasby plays fetch with sticks and runs all over the place on the frozen lake. He loves to play with other dogs and roughhouse when they are in the mood. He would do very well in a house that has another dog, or alone.
Clasby gets better at his commands every day and will do just about anything for a treat. He may be a big guy, but that will never stop him from sitting himself down on your lap for pets or for long naps. He is totally fine in the crate and gets so excited when his foster family gets home from work. At home he is very calm and will just sit next to you and follow you around. He also loves to play tug of war and keep away. He would be a great addition to your home and your family!
PUPDATE 3
Clasby moved in with a new foster in a studio apartment three weeks ago and adjusted very easily! He is a very sweet boy who matches the energy levels around him very well. He loves to lounge on the couch, cuddle, and give kisses to whoever he’s with. He also loves his chew toys, bringing them over to show off and to play tug with anyone nearby.
Clasby is working on polishing up his leash manners and his excitement when he sees other dogs and small animals. He likes to go fast whenever he can, and loves going for runs to show off his speed whenever possible. He is good with other big dogs and likes to play rough and run in circles on play dates. He doesn’t know his own size and strength so his excitement when he sees other dogs can be a little much for smaller dogs at times (and cats).
Clasby would do very well in a house alone or with other dogs, especially one with a nice big yard to run around. He loves to plays fetch and keep away with other dogs. He would do well with both experienced and newer dog owners. He is great with kids, new people, and loves to say hello to people passing on the street.

Likes:
- food puzzles (Kongs, kibble droppers, frozen peanut butter treats, snuffle mat!) - will pick these up, carry them around, and chew on them when empty to alert you that he needs more
- food bowl
- cuddling
- plastic squeakers
- hard chews (antlers, nylabones, fake wood etc)
- shadowing and stealing from his foster sibling. He loves to "share" and "steal" toys from his foster siblings. He's grown very fond of doing this with his male foster brother, who indulges him. He plays with toys on his own, but especially loves variety with his foster brother.
Attention:
May need to have stairs to taller beds or surfaces -- he has started to climb only halfway up the bed, and wait for help to get all the way up. He looks like a land seal while he waits for help. No issues with jumping into car or onto (lower) couch.
PUPDATE 1
Clasby is a sweet, snuggly, cuddle bug who loves attention. It’s not uncommon for him to sit his 65-lb body on our laps for hugs, pets, and scratches.
His energy level is pretty balanced, but when he’s around other pups he’s high energy - and ready to play! He is an outgoing, friendly boy when out and about - very fond of younger kids and other dogs. He would make a lovely family pet (just ignore the snoring )!
Clasby has an outgoing personality but can settle down easily. Outside, he is working on his leash manners and does pretty well. We only have issues with dragging/pulling when he sees squirrels. He is fully potty trained, and waits and sits before going through any entrance/door. (When excited for walks he will actually pick up slippers and his leash and bring them to the door!) He walks well with a slip leash, and can be redirected and sits with a treat when excited on walks. He can also sleep in his crate through the night, as well as crating up to 4 hours during the day.
Clasby currently takes medications with his two meals a day for chronic hind leg injury. This does not affect his day-to-day management, though.
Clasby is currently being fostered in a studio apartment where he is doing well - but a larger space would be a great fit for his outgoing personality. Anyone would be lucky to have this sweet love bug - but he would be a great fit for families with younger children or other dogs. Don’t miss taking this sweet boy to his forever home today!
