Howie greets us each morning with the sweetest stretches as he comes out of his crate. He likes to eat all of his breakfast and enjoys his lunch and dinner much the same way! Then it's out to potty, and Howie is almost completely potty trained. He loves to go outside and enjoys sniffing the grass. Howie plays hard like a puppy should, but he takes frequent puppy naps in between all the playtime. He LOVES to walk on a leash and is the best leash walker we have ever fostered! By the time the day winds down, Howie is ready to rest with the family and goes to sleep in his create quietly. He sleeps through the night and is an excellent snuggler.

Howie is a sweet, submissive boy. He is an excellent companion and will be a great guard dog as he learns his role in an active family. He greets strangers without fear but is a touch shy when meeting new people.

He has been fostered with 4 children in the home, ages 6-12 years old. He is happy to play with them and enjoys chasing the tennis ball in the fenced-in yard. Howie would be a great match for a home with kids.

Howie is a medium-energy pup who likes to play and be silly, but also likes to rest. One 20-30 minute walk per day is fine for Howie. He is very gentle when taking his walks, and loves have an ice cube as his reward when we get back home. Then he especially enjoys the chilly tile floor and isn't afraid to lay his belly right on it when he naps.

He has been fostered with two other dogs in the home and loves their company. Howie has met multiple dogs outside of his foster home and is very calm while meeting them. Howie isn't sure at first if he would like to play, but it does not take him very long to play a great game of chase! He is an independent pup who would do well with a companion or as an only-dog.  Howie has not met a cat. He would most likely do well with them if introduced properly.

Howie is very content to curl up in his crate while his people are gone. He has not been allowed to free roam because Howie is very young and may chew things he should not! He is a very easy-going, smart guy and will learn the rules in no time!

Howie would do best in a home with space and/or a large yard, because Howie likes to explore and will eventually be a big pup!
