Funnelcakes is the quirkiest little floof! Her favorite spot is between your legs — she doesn’t care if you’re sitting or trying to walk, she just wants to funnel her way as close to you as possible — to smother you in kisses of course! She has the most ridiculous tongue and it is rarely in her mouth, always looking to taste the world around her! She is still a little bit of a mouthy puppy, so I wouldn’t recommend a home with young kids for her. Older kiddos who don’t mind being constantly slobbered on by a pupper who doesn’t understand personal space would be just fine!

She would also prefer a fenced yard/off-leash potty spot or frequent trips to the dog park. She is most definitely new to a leash and currently struggles to pee while on leash, but also struggles to actually walk while on leash! We’re working on this daily, but at the moment, it’s a bit like what I’d imagine walking an alligator to be like. She’s never had an accident in the house or even in her crate; she just waits (once nearly 24-hours) until she’s outside and off-leash to take care of business.

Speaking of dog parks; Funnelcakes is currently hanging out in a multi-dog foster home and loves having other dogs to play with! The bouncier and more playful, the better, according to her! She has been very appropriate and respectful with each dog she’s interacted with thus far — ranging from 15 lbs. to over 80; males and females alike. When she, or they, are done playing, she’s content to flop down in the grass and recharge.

Funnelcakes is full of a zest for life, but hasn’t gone out of her way to find mischief. She loves playing with toys, and is perfectly crate and house trained. She hangs out in a crate overnight, home alone, and in the car and loves her crate. Thus far, I’ve yet to hear her bark — even while playing with other dogs!

She has not met cats in her current foster home, but she’s very bouncy and energetic and I’d suspect she’d see kitties as playmates. I can’t recommend cats one way or another for her, but if you have cats who are dog savvy and experience properly introducing dogs and cats, she has not exhibited much of a prey drive in our home.
