Fritz found his forever family on November 4, 2020!
On a typical day, Fritz wakes up at 7:30 am to go potty and snack on some dry food. Then he goes back to sleep until around 10ish and wakes up to play with our resident dog. He continues to spend the rest of the afternoon switching between sleeping, looking out the window at the little animals or the neighbors, and urging our lazier resident dog to play some more. He does the cutest little standing hop/dance for dinner at 5:30 pm and then goes for a long evening walk. This is definitely his favorite part of the day, and he does super well on the leash. Then when he gets back, he plays with our resident dog, snuggles for tv time and sleeps happily in his doggy bed near his humans. He sleeps throughout the entire night until the next morning!
He is extremely friendly to everyone he has ever met and very gentle. He will cuddle up to anyone who gives him the attention. Although we have not seen him with young kids, we are confident that he would do well with even younger kids, he might even prefer the smaller humans! Fritz does well with the 13 and 19 year old in our house.
Fritz is a medium energy pup and matches the energy of the house. He spends his day switching between sleeping and playing with our resident dog, and if our resident dog wasn't so lazy he would definitely play even more! He does not seem to be super interested in toys though. Fritz loves his evening walks and does super well on the leash. When we had him in our friends fenced yard, he loved running around with our resident dog.
We are not sure how he does with cats. Fritz loves dogs, and he does very well with our resident dog as well as with some of our friends dogs that he has had play dates with.
Since we are home most of the time Fritz isn't left alone very often, but when he is he whines and becomes a little stressed so he might have mild separation anxiety. He has a tendency to chew on non-toys and sometimes has accidents when we are not around for him to signal. For this reason, we keep him in the crate whenever we are not around to watch him and he does well in there!
Fritz is overall a super sweet and affectionate pup! He is great with other dogs, kids and LOVES people. He loves to snuggle on your lap or take naps on the couch. When you get home from somewhere, and when "food" or "walk" is mentioned, he the happiest boy and will do an adorable standing up hop/dance. When he isn't doing that, he is greeting you with the wiggliest booty and all the snuggles in the world.
Because he loves people so much, he would do best in a household where at least some of his family is around a decent part of the day. However, he is not too clingy to his humans and also doesn't mind being by himself sometimes and snoozing on his doggy bed. Fritz is very trainable and knows the command “sit” and is making progress on learning other commands. We are currently perfecting his shake! Fritz loves to run and play with our resident dog indoors and outdoors. He enjoys the company of our resident dog and would love to have canine friends to play with. He sleeps through the night without any potty breaks in his doggy bed near his humans. Fritz is sweet and snuggly with all humans and will steal your heart the first time you meet him. He is just perfect and deserves a loving family. This loveball is very ready to find his furever family!
