Ferguson wakes up, goes potty, and gobbles up his breakfast first thing in the morning. The rest of his day is spent playing with the resident dogs, snuggling, or running around outside. If his foster parents are gone for work, he relaxes in his crate.
Ferguson is exceptionally friendly with his foster parents, though he hasn't interacted with many people outside of the home. When he was dropped off at the vet's office, he was apprehensive with staff at first but allowed them to pet him. He has not had exposure to children while in foster care.
Ferguson does very well with the resident dogs (small sized). He plays nicely and shares toys. He hasn't had much exposure to dogs outside of the home. He has not had exposure to cats since coming to his foster home.
He is a typical puppy, so he has medium-high energy at times (other times he enjoys a long nap). He is uncoordinated on a leash. Though he hasn't been to a dog park, he would likely enjoy it since he loves chasing the resident dogs in the backyard. He occasionally jumps and nibbles on people, but that is typical puppy behavior. If neighbor dogs are outside, he will occasionally bark at them. If you tell him "no" he is receptive.
Ferguson trips over the leash & is uncoordinated (still growing into his body). Could be better with a harness.
Ferguson is crated when the foster parents leave the home. He will go willingly into his crate, which is good. He whines initially, but is able to calm down quickly. He is very eager to get out of the kennel when his foster parents get home. Would be fine in an apartment as long as he gets enough exercise. We have a fenced in backyard, so he enjoys running out there with the resident dogs.
He's a super sweet dog and hasn't had any notable issues in the foster home. He loves to be by his foster parents at all times, and enjoys a good snuggle.
