Officially adopted on April 15th!

PUPDATE 4

Faye is now 23 pounds and is a high energy pup. She went on a long walk yesterday and she still had energy later in the day to play with a big adult dog. She's met lots of dogs and people and kids and loves all of them! House training is going very well, with only an occasional accident.

PUPDATE 3

Faye is doing really well and getting big! She's over 19 pounds now. She's a confident and loving pup. I feed her 4 times per day and she eats all her food within a few minutes. House training is going very well with few accidents. She relieves herself outside within an hour of feeding and wakes me when she needs to go in the middle of the night. She walks on the sidewalk on a leash very well. She loves to fetch and play tug of war. Her puppy nips are very gentle play nips and she stops when I tell her.

PUPDATE 2

Faye got over a mild case of kennel cough and is back to her playful nature. She has fun playing with another dog! Faye even met a 2 year old human child and did well.

PUPDATE 1

Faye free feeds during the day and doesn't eat more than half of her food in one sitting. She plays outside in the backyard and she loves cuddling on the couch. She mostly relieves herself outside, except for once or twice per day on a pee pad indoors. I work from home and let her sleep in my bed.

When meeting new people, Faye is initially cautious but warms up quickly.  She does not have children in her foster home. She had one brief interaction with a baby and was eager to meet him, but they had no physical contact.

Faye continues to work on her leash walking. She'll walk maybe 100 yards with encouragement. She has lots of puppy energy. I would guess she'll require moderate exercise as an adult.

She does not have any other dogs in her current foster home.  Faye came from a litter of 10 so she had plenty of pals early on.  She does not have experience with cats.

I almost never leave her alone. Faye does okay but needs to be kept in a crate. She needs more crate training but should do well with it.

Faye is very sweet and lovable. She should do well with more basic training.

Faye’s mom had a DNA analysis showing 50% bull terrier, 25.1% chow chow, 8.1% American foxhound, 6.0% German shepherd, 10.8% supermutt. We do not know the breed of Faye’s dad. Take a look at the last photo above to see her Mama Seairah!
