This sweet girl was adopted October 13, 2020!
Hello from momma Emma! This lady came from a partner rescue in the area where she gave birth to 9 (!!!) beautiful babies almost 3 months ago. She nursed her babies until they were ready for adoption and now she's ready to find her forever home herself! A typical day for Emma starts with a 30-minute walk, some play time inside, then breakfast and nap time in her crate. I feed all her meals in the crate to keep her happy to go in there. Around lunch time we do a potty break and some playtime in the yard then she hangs out with me while I work the rest of the workday. Around dinnertime is another shorter walk then some fetch in the backyard. Emma will finally have dinner at bedtime and sleeps the night up to 9-10 hours in the crate.
Emma is a very gentle and playful girl who is very happy to meet strangers. She sometimes barks at people going by the house, but is typically quite calm and happy when people come inside. Emma has not met children while with me though is usually quite gentle aside from the rare jumping up on you so I suspect she would do well.
She is somewhere between medium and high energy. Emma will happily play fetch in the yard for quite a while, go for runs if you like, chew on toys for hours, but she doesn't necessarily need to constantly have a job either and will settle in for snoozes after she's had some good playtime.
Emma currently lives with four other dogs and has met several others and does extremely well with new dogs of many types. Emma loves to play with other dogs if they'll let her and especially loves playing chase in the yard. She currently lives with two cats as well and does okay with them - generally ignores but sometimes tries to play and chase them which the cats don't love.
She is not 100% potty trained so she would need a bit of work to solidify that. Emma does not have accidents if she goes out pee every 2-3 hours or so but does not know how to ask to go outside yet. Emma does relatively well when left alone, but I typically crate her when I leave the house due to the potty training.
Emma is an incredibly gentle, sweet, and playful dog who would love a family to spoil her with toys and playtime!
