Updates
Clyde wakes up when we do--around 6:00 am, to go outside for potty. Breakfast around 6:30 am, then playtime with the resident dog. Leash walk mid-morning and then some training time. At noon, a snack (healthy chew stick) and a nap. Short walk mid-afternoon or just outside in yard for play, bird watching, etc. Supper at 5:15 pm, playtime/training time afterwards, then out to potty and bed around 9 pm. Sleeps on his dog bed.
Clyde barks at people outside ONLY if our resident dog starts barking, but quiets very quickly with 'Clyde, no bark' command. Will come and seek praise for obeying ("Good boy!"). Is shy with strangers at first but will come up and smell you and then seek a pet. Gets along very well with other dogs. Has not been introduced to cats or children..
Clyde is currently on exercise restriction until 4/20/22 due to past heartworm treatment. Is medium energy; likes to play with resident dog, loves walks and is very easy on the leash.
Does very well with other dogs both inside and outside the home.
Clyde does very well with free roaming. He will collect his toys from the basket and move them around the house in his selected spot. Wayward socks, shoes or slippers might also find their way in the pile, but he does not chew them--just collects and 'inventories' them. If food is left at his level, he will be tempted.
Clyde can be adopted after 4/22/2022 after heartworm clearance. He will make a great pup for a beginner or seasoned homeowner - loves to spend time with you and will follow you around.
