Clementine found her family January 5, 2021!
Clementine is a pretty typical puppy. She is improving by sleeping in the crate at night. We get up in the morning between 7 and 8 and go outside to potty. Then she have breakfast followed by spurts of playing and napping throughout the day. We try to get outside for a short leash walk around our cul-de-sac to practice leash walking. Then she will lounge around during the night around 9:30-10 will go out for a last potty break, short play, and to bed for the night.
She is good with anyone she meets. Clementine likes to go up to them wagging her tail to get a greeting from people.
We have 6 and 8 year old kids in our house and she loves being with them and playing. She is a typical puppy who you need to watch with kids and will need to reinforce chewing, nipping, etc.
Clementine is the kind of puppy who goes in spurts where she wants to play then will take a nap. This repeats throughout the day. We just recently exposed her to a leash and collar so we’re working on that as she likes to tug and try to get the leash.
Currently, she has only been exposed to our dog a 9 month old Lab mix. They get along well but are both working on sharing toys. They enjoy playing and resting together. Clementine has not met a cat in her foster home.
Currently when left alone, she is put in a puppy pen. Clementine will whine at the start and then calms down to rest while we are gone. Her adopters will need to continue to work on being in the crate or puppy pen when left alone.
Clementine comes from a litter of 8 puppies born in a Wisconsin foster home. Clementine is doing well as she is settling into our home but does like being around us and our dog.
