PUPDATE #2

Chang is such a lovebug! He has met numerous people and he has loved them all.  He continues to do wonderful with every dog he has met.  From the resident 100 pound lab mix to a 10 pound puppy, he has been great with every dog he has met.  Chang is nervous in new environments, he likes to explore for a while before he finally calms down and is his usual cuddly self again.  Chang has gone for a run/walk, and we think he would be a great running partner.  He does wonderful sleeping in his kennel at night.  He isn't so fond of people leaving him and is a little whiny when left home alone in the kennel.  He spends his evenings snoring on the couch (preferably cuddling with a human).

PUPDATE #1

Chang wakes up in his kennel but is usually quiet until people let him out. Once let out, he usually goes and scopes out a new spot to relax on the couch or recliner and is even happier if he is joined for cuddles. He enjoys a couple walks a day and may even be a good running buddy. He does well on walks unless he sees a squirrel and then he can pull a bit. Chang likes to find items to chew on but with time has gotten a little better and can spend some time alone without getting into trouble. Typically he is kenneled when he doesn't have people around to watch him. Chang's favorite hobbies are watching the birds outside and taking a good nap near some humans (preferably cuddling).

Chang gets excited to meet new people. He jumps a little, but is learning not to. He wants to stop and meet everyone he sees on walks. He is a very people friendly dog and will give any human a good cuddle.

Chang has had minimal exposure to children. Chang met children once and seemed to get a little over excited. When they moved fast, Chang wanted to chase/jump. He was leashed and still said hi, but was just a little overly excited. I think he just needs more exposure. I wouldn’t necessarily rule out children, I just think introductions need to be careful.

Chang is a solid medium energy dog. He has spurts of puppy energy but is also a couch potato. Most the time you can find him curled up amongst some pillows taking a snooze. He loves chewing on toys (will need some good durable toys as he really likes to chew hard). Chang is doing well on a leash, he does pull at times but we have already seen improvement on this with some training with a gentle leader harness.

Chang currently lives with an 8 year old lab mix. He does really well with him, they play occasionally, but mostly the resident dog wants to be left alone and Chang is respectful of that most the time. He is a playful pup! He loves seeing other dogs on walks and is always interested in them. Chang has not had exposure to cats in our care.

Chang is kenneled when he is left alone. He whines a bit when he's kenneled but eventually settles down.

Chang is a sweet, cuddly, playful, and a very affectionate dog.
