Caramel Delite is cheerful and quiet when he comes out of the crate in the morning. We are an "early to bed early to rise" household which has has adapted well to. He is in his crate by 8:30 at night and is out by 5:30 in the morning. He walks outside on his leash for about 5 minutes, has breakfast and is content to rest by himself for the next several hours while I work in the home and tend to other dogs. He goes outside for 5-10 minutes about every 3-4 hours and he sits or lays down most of that time. I feed him again in the evening and then he has more quite time with us in front of the TV. He is ready for bed in the evening and is quiet through the night.
Caramel Delite loves people. He is snuggly but does not demand constant attention. He is content to just be in the room with you. He has a big smile and vigorous tail wag when you come into the room! He has played well with the resident dogs but is not a vigorous or rough player.
He has not met any children.
Caramel Delite does not need a lot of exercise. He is content to walk slowly around the yard. He can strain on the leash but is not a vigorous puller. He does prance around or run briefly to chase a ball or fluttering leaves, but then sits or lays in the grass just to smell the fresh air and feel the wind in his soft fur.
He has done well with the resident dogs including the small older terrier. He is respectful and gentle with her. He does not like rough play.
Caramel Delite has not had exposure to cats.
I leave him alone in the lower level out of his kennel for hours and he just sleeps peacefully at the bottom of the stairs where I can see him. He does not chew on things or bark. When I leave the house I put him back in his crate just to be safe and he goes in with a treat without complaint. He will whine or bark when he needs to go out but I also go down to be with him every couple of hours and we walk around outside for a few minutes and then he comes back in and plays quietly again.
Caramel Delite is truly a delight! He is a very smart wonderful puppy! He is very loving, gentle and sweet. He is smart and calm. He does not seem to be overly reactive to sounds. He does enjoy having the TV on and will howl sometimes when he hears on siren on the TV.
