Cajun found his family June 23!
Cajun wakes up around 8am and eats his first meal. Then he goes on walk and plays with foster dog brother. Cajun stays in crate while I work for a couple hour increments. Usually he naps at this time and when he wakes up I have lunch and go on another walk. Then Cajun naps again while I finish work and then we play and then dinner, walk, and sleeps well through night if you take him out at midnight.
Cajun loves people. He is a very "chill" and relatively calm for a puppy, curiously watching your every move with those beautiful puppy dog eyes. He is very friendly to everyone he meets, and I have seen no aggression from him.
He is very sweet with kids as he met the neighbor kids and is calm and lets them pet him without getting riled up.
For a puppy, Cajun is great on a leash. His foster dog brother distracts him a little, but he's great at walking next to you and matching your pace but will sometimes just lay down. After walks Cajun is ready for a long nap and snuggles. When he gets older, he will likely need 2 long walks a day.
Cajun is very friendly with other dogs on walks. He does not bark at them and is just curious. He loves to play with other dogs in and outside of the home. Cajun has no exposure to cats.
He does well in crate when left alone. Cajun might whimper for the first couple of minutes but easily settles and is comfortable in crate. He is even more of an angel when him and his brother are alone together.
The vet noted a heart murmur but no signs of congestive heart failure. Adopters should plan to monitor with vet.
Cajun absolutely loves water and the most snuggly dog I have ever met. He is beyond loyal and follows me everywhere -- very chill. The perfect family pet with so much love to give, but also the perfect pal to take on life with for anyone living alone. He can sit on command and is always down for an adventure. He truly is the perfect dog!
