Bobby McGee is a total sweetheart and a complete heartbreaker. A very typical puppy, he plays hard and naps harder. When not napping or playing, he is either trying to eat whatever he can fit in his mouth (and sometimes what he can't fit) or guarding you. Loves to play with toys, but perfers to play with his foster brothers, who aren't always as acceptive to his mouthy play style.

He is a very smart, but very stubborn boy. While he loves to please, he will ignore you if he thinks whatever he has or is doing is better than what you are offering, or if it contradicts his job; guarding you/his family. Very, very food motivated and is still learning manners/personal space and doesn't understand why his foster brothers get angry when he wants them to share their food with him. Has the potential to be a very well trained boy.

He does not like being in his crate, and will whine/cry most of the time. He does calm down eventually, but takes a very long time. He does like the crate when he chooses to go in it himself, and does so when he needs a break from playing. He prefers to sleep in his crate (with the door open), his dog bed, or cuddling with you in bed. He is very much a working dog, and usually spends a couple hours each night outside (fenced in yard) guarding the house. Very typical Pyrenees behavior. Otherwise he is very quiet, calm, and rarely barks.

Still working on potty training. He knows to go outside, but he does prefer to go on puppy pads, which has made the transition to 100% outside difficult. His food motivation and smarts allows him to pick up on things relatively quickly. He knows how to sit, but is so excited for a treat he has a hard time keeping all paws on the floor. Could be very well trained given time and consistency.

Has no experience with cats or kids, but absolutely loves people and does great meeting them. Has never met someone or dog he has not liked! Would be an excellent running buddy someday, but is too young, curious, and stubborn right now to run well on a leash. Is not a fan of car rides as he gets nervous and sick every time.

Would benefit greatly from a place where he has access to a lot of land/farm/fenced in yard, with other dogs, and has a job to do (He wants something to guard and follow around all day/night). Wouldn't recommend for beginner owners or apartments mainly to needing a job to do, and that he will be a big boy someday (~100ish pounds unless what he is mixed with brings him down in size).

Overall he is a very sweet, loving boy who wants nothing more than to follow you around and cuddle with you (when not playing, napping, or working) and is such a good boy.

Due to Bobby McGee’s age and likelihood to be a larger breed, he has not yet been neutered. He will be adopted out with an addendum to the adoption agreement to be altered at an appropriate age.
