Benn found his family November 30, 2020!

Benn wakes up at about 6am with the family. He loves his breakfast and doesn't like to share it. He is very silly, and often lays down when he eats, and he savors every bite! After breakfast, Benn is ready to go outside and potty and play. He does still take puppy naps throughout the day and loves his 30-minute walk. Sometimes he likes to do puzzle toys that involve treats, and he is learning how to sit and lay down! He settles down for the night around 8pm and sleeps well.

Benn loves our family, which includes 4 children. He is nervous around strangers, however, and takes some time to warm up to them. He is VERY well-mannered though and will simply hang out in the room and not come close to people he doesn't know. After a few treats (food can win Benn over!) and some coaxing, Benn makes friends easily.

He loves to play with our children, ages 6-12. He likes to play fetch, tug-of-war, and is very gentle around kids. Benn does not jump on people and is very gentle.

Benn is a medium-energy dog and does not require constant attention. He is content to take one walk per day and easily settles down with his people to rest in the evening. He does like to play typical puppy games and enjoys sniffing around outdoors. Benn would take a very lazy walk if he had the choice! Benn loves his puppy naps in the sun after his walk and will usually nap several times per day.

Benn plays well with other dogs. He is a shy pup, so he does well with gentle dogs his own size (which eventually, will be quite large!) Benn is not nervous of other dogs unless they are particularly loud. He prefers quiet puppy friends but isn't afraid to play rough when needed. He is typically not the instigator, however!  Benn has never met a cat.

He can easily settle down in his crate when he is left alone. He has no issues spending time listening to the radio while his family is at work!

Benn would do best with a fenced in yard due to his breed and size. Although he is still growing, he does like to explore and enjoys the freedom that he gets in our backyard!
