Bella is the sweetest love bug. She is always laid back but gets really playful when comfortable. She needs slow approaches from strangers/people she doesn’t know because she can get spooked. She is good with other dogs and has played with them. Prefers littler dogs when playing. When she really likes you she will try to sit in your lap or rub up against you as a sign of love. No experience with cats yet. Bella knows her name. She loves longer walks in the early mornings and shorter ones throughout the day. She needs treats (her dog food) when on walks because she can get distracted by smells from her strong nose. She knows the commands, “sit”, “come”, “let’s go”. She is crate trained and potty trained. She does well in car rides but still needs treats for prompting and motivation to get into car. She uses seatbelt strap in car rides to keep her secure. She’s a total lapdog and cuddly but can get really big emotions when excited. Some jumping when excited, but this behavior has been minimized because of safety. She’ll get the zoomies sometimes and can be clumsy/run into things. Sometimes she doesn’t realize her size and strength. She’s got that puppy energy inside of her! She does great with baths as long as everything is prepped prior to bath. She will also get zoomies after bath and loves the cool water on her after. She is a gorgeous girl and knows it, especially when getting brushed after a bath. She loves all kinds of toys! Watch out for the tug-a-war string toys because she will chew chew chew and you need to prevent her from eating it. I stopped these toys all together. Loves Kong brand and hard chewing toys for realization and soothing. She’s curious about everything so playing some hide and seek games she likes. I’ve taught her sit with the command and holding my hand out with a fist, along with ASL “stop” along with the command. First vet visit 5/20 to get further information on her diet, exercise, etc.
