Updates

Barb gets up around 6am and goes outside right away. She's really good about going to the bathroom really quickly outside. She typically plays for about half an hour or hour in the morning. Throughout the day, she'll be crated twice for a couple hours at a time and takes a nap. Other parts of the day, she'll either sit by me on the couch while I'm working or will chew on chew toys while supervised. Barb doesn't like the cold, wet grass in the morning, but later in the day she loves being outside.

Barb loves people! At home, she loves to play and snuggle with her people. If she is outside and sees a new person walking by, she will want to run up and say hello. When encouraged to be calm, she also does well just sitting and waiting for someone to pass (and does not bark). If she meets someone new, she is a tad shy but will usually go up to someone and then immediately roll over for a belly rub which of course is a great way to make a new friend.

She has not had exposure to children while I’ve been fostering her.

Barb has a lot of puppy energy! She has a lot of energy in the morning and gets the zoomies around 7pm at night. She normally goes on a 1-2 short walks during the day and will run around in the house or our patio several times a day. When she's tired she will nap for an hour or two.

Barb has interacted really well with other dogs! She is super submissive and when another dog greets her, she will often roll over immediately. Then sometimes she will want to play. A few times she has barked--wanting to play--with another dog, but most of the time she is quiet and sniffs to say hi and doesn't bark.

She has not had exposure to cats while I’ve been fostering her.

She does well in her crate and actually likes going in at night. She does not cry at night when put in her crate and sleeps from about 11pm - 6am. During the day, she may cry for a couple minutes when put into her crate but settles down quickly.

Barb is a typical puppy in that she likes to chew on her humans and items left out. She has not chewed any of our furniture. She likes chew toys!

Barb is a typical puppy and still working on potty training. We take her out frequently but she has about an accident per day inside. She is quick to go potty outside.

We don't leave Barb to roam free unsupervised for more than a few minutes at a time. When she is left alone crated, she does well. At night, she does not cry at all. When crated during the day, she will cry for a couple minutes and then is quiet.

Barb is super fun and spunky and snuggly - she loves to chase balls, chew on toys, bound through tall grasses, and take naps in warm cozy places, preferably next to her people. Favorite past times include pouncing on leaf piles, chasing falling leaves, and basically anything involving leaves. She likes to crawl under small spaces like our coffee table or through the obstacle course of chair legs under our kitchen table. She has adorable floppy little ears, cute puppy eyes, and is very snuggly.
