Updates

Bango sleeps until his humans get up, typically between 6-8 am. We start the day with letting him outside to go potty and then eating breakfast. He is a good eater! Then he enjoys more time playing in the yard with his foster sisters. On work days he is kenneled when his humans leave for work. He gets a half-hour-long walk at lunch time plus time to run around and play with his foster sisters in the yard and then is tired and ready for a nap in his kennel for the afternoon. When we get home from work he spends the rest of the day playing with his foster sisters in the yard, going for another walk, etc. He has dinner at 6 pm followed by more play time. We all settle down to relax and snuggle for an hour before bedtime. He goes outside to go potty one more time before bedtime, typically between 9-11 pm, and then he sleeps in his kennel overnight. He cries at bedtime for 10 minutes, but then settles in and sleeps through the night.

Bango is outgoing and curious, loves meeting new people and greets them with lots of kisses. He loves his humans and foster sisters and bonded quickly to everyone. He gets distracted easily as any typical puppy does. He is smart and learning new tricks like "sit" and "down" quickly. He is very food motivated, which makes training easy. He has not had exposure to children while I’ve been fostering him.

Bango is a high-energy puppy who loves playing and wrestling with his foster sisters and going for walks. He is quickly learning how to walk on a leash with the help of his foster sisters and could be a good running buddy. He also likes settling in with a good bone or chew toy.

Bango loves meeting and playing with dogs. He would do well in a home with other dogs. He loves playing and wrestling with them, going for walks and likes to walk in the middle. After a long walk or playing outside he likes to snuggle up for a nap. He also loves meeting new dogs and is not afraid of bigger dogs at all. He has not had exposure to cats while I’ve been fostering him.

We are working on crate training Bango. He goes into his crate with a little encouragement. He does well in his kennel when we are in the same room. He likes watching what's going on and politely watches without barking. He has been crated during the day for up to 5 hours at a time. I can peek in on him with the help of a security camera and he does ok if one of his foster sisters is near him. He struggles with being in the kennel without us home and cries if he can't see one of his foster sisters. He instantly stops crying if we talk to him through the camera so we just started playing a radio when we're gone and that helps.

Bango is doing well with potty training, but as puppies do, he has had a couple accidents. He rides well in a car as long as he has bone or chew toy to keep him occupied. He is teething so is chewing a lot and needs supervision not to chew on furniture and needs to have bones/chew toys available.

Overall, Bango is a fun and playful puppy with a silly personality that will be a great dog for someone who will give him the exercise a higher energy puppy needs. Is that you?
