Hi, I’m Badland! I arrived a couple weeks ago when the lovely people of Fetch helped save a bunch of us from the wildfires burning in Louisiana! I’m now hanging out in a foster home with other dogs and making lots of new friends. If I’m not chasing my housemates around the yard, entertaining myself with toys, or my favorite pass time, chasing and catching bugs, I love to snuggle with my humans or doggo siblings. Living in a house is new to me, but I’m catching on: I’m crate trained, and I love my crate! I’m good about keeping my crate clean, but I still have some puppy accidents [mostly when I’m excited] so when I’m not in my crate or outside, my humans have me wear this weird thing, like pants without legs. They call it a belly band. I’m not really a fan, but it does help me contain my excitement.
Since I was found as a stray, we don’t know much about my past. My foster humans wish I could tell them about all my previous adventures. But they’ve guessed I’m about 1 year old. I live in the country now, so if you live in a downtown apartment, I might need some extra help adjusting to all the new sights and sounds, but I’ve been told I’m definitely an apartment candidate: I don’t really bark and I’m cute and fun-sized! They say I’ll stay about this size forever; I guess we’ll find that out together! I get called “cute” a lot around here… I think it’s my ears. Maybe my spots? I have two-colored eyes, too! I love to be told what your favorite features about me are. Especially if you pet me while telling me. These people keep putting this fancy piece of string on my collar; I’ve heard them call it a leash? I haven’t figured out how it works yet, so if you have a dog run or a yard where I can spend some time while we get to know each other, that would be the best thing ever! I know I can figure it out in time, it’s just been a lot of new things all at once for me the last few weeks!
Oh, yeah; did I say I like snuggling?! It’s pretty much my favorite. Everyone: dogs, kids, adults, they’re just new friends waiting to be made! I’ve never lived with a cat, so if you have those, you might need to teach us how to live nicely together. But otherwise, if you’ll give me pets, attention, and treats [freeze-dried beef liver is the best; have you ever tried it?!] we’ll get along great! I can’t wait to meet you!
