After a good night's sleep in her crate, Pumpkin goes out to potty around 6 am, then gets a small treat before breakfast around 6:30-6:45 am. She plays with some of her toys or chews a yak cheese while the fosters are gone for a few hours four mornings a week. Our resident dog keeps her company and they often just chill out on the dog beds and nap until one of us is home mid-morning. Then out for about a 20-30 minute walk and potty. Sometimes she comes along for errands in the car. She gets a mid-day snack of either a frozen kong with plain yogurt mixed with peanut butter or a chew like a bully stick or non-rawhide chew. While I work, she often will sit by me (especially if she can find a spot in the sun!) and chill while I work. Most days, she likes to sit in the backyard and watch the birds and other activities around the property. She is a beagle and has a fantastic sniffer. If she is left off leash, she will just let her nose lead her to wherever it goes before she realizes she has wandered out of bounds. Around 3 pm, she goes out for potty and another walk (sometimes the walk is later in the day, right before dinner). She eats supper around 4:45 pm and then plays with us, the resident dog, or her pillows (yes, she loves small pillows!) until she is ready for a little nap before a last trip outside around 8 pm. We crate her around 8:30 pm while we are in the same area. Then lights out around 9:30 pm.
