Ace is the sweetest little brindle baby with the cutest nub of a tail!
Ace is crated during the workday (with a midday lunch break) and overnight. In his crate and when I’m home, he is quiet and not bothered by apartment noises. Ace is completely potty-trained and has never had an accident with me.
Ace has a medium energy level and does well with a few 15-minute walks a day (but is fine to miss when it’s too cold) and indoor playtime. He still has some puppy behaviors, such as jumping up (on people and tables/counters) and chewing on blankets or shoes (fuzzy boots are his weakness). He would love weekend hikes, trips to the dog park, and rides very well in the car.
Ace generally walks well on leash, but he will sometimes freeze when another person walks towards him. When this happens, we step to the side, and I comfort him until they have passed us. Ace appears to have some anxiety around men, especially with deep voices. With slow, gentle introductions, Ace warms up and shows his sweet, happy personality. He has not met children, but he is probably too skittish to live with them at this time.
Ace enjoys playing with other dogs and is submissive to his foster sister even when she growls at him. He regularly attends doggy daycare, and after a few sessions, he now loves playing with other dogs and his caregivers. He would love having a canine sibling but would also be happy soaking up attention as an only pet. He has not met cats.
Ace loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed. His favorite thing is lying in my arms on his back like the baby he truly believes he is! Ace would do well in a home that is willing to go at his pace and offer him patience, adventure, and unconditional love.
