Zoey wakes up in her kennel and patiently waits for her foster family to get up and let her outside. After she does her business and eats breakfast, she will usually play with the other dogs for a bit before taking a nap. She keeps an eye on her humans throughout the day, and likes watching them and following them around. We keep a basket of toys for Zoey available, as she loves chew toys and tennis balls. Zoey gets to hit the streets for an afternoon walk, then after dinner she prefers to relax next to her human (preferably half on her human) before going to bed in her kennel in the bedroom.
Zoey is working on controlling her excitement when meeting new people. She is trying not to jump up—but she is a quick learner and loves treats.
Zoey is great with kids. She is still quite playful, so she is a better fit for children over 4 as opposed to crawling toddlers. However, she is an excellent size and energy level for a busy family—yet bonds well and likes to snuggle, making her a good fit for a solo human.
Zoey likes walks and does fairly well with a harness on walks. She would be a good running partner once her leash skills are more developed. She is a smart dog and learns quickly, but does get excited over meeting new friends, animals, potential toys, etc. when out and about.
Zoey is excellent with other dogs. She is quite passive, and it was like instant family with the other 2 dogs in her foster home.
Zoey lives with 2 cats currently. She does have an interest in them and will try to play with them, but does not aggressively chase them.
Zoey is not left home alone often. She loves car rides and prefers to go with her family whenever possible! When Zoey is home alone, she will nap in her kennel.
Zoey is a really sweet, playful dog that seems to love everyone. She is still young and has some basic puppy habits she’s working on, but overall a great dog.
