Updates

Zeeto spends the night in his crate. We take him outside on leash around 7:00 am, he gets his food and then goes back in his crate until we take him out for another pee/poo. The rest of the day he's allowed to free roam where he enjoys playing with our dog.

Zeeto is very friendly to people and other dogs. He barks excessively at strange people and dogs, but we have been working on this and have seen significant improvement. Once strangers are within a few feet, Zeeto has no issues and stops barking.

Zeeto has had no exposure to kids or cats.

Zeeto does well on a leash. He is a fast runner and would benefit from regular exercise. Even though he is still very young, he is well enough behaved that exercise is not required for good behavior indoors. Because he's generally relaxed indoors, I'm labeling him a medium-energy dog.

His way of playing with other dogs involves his nipping at their legs. Some dogs are put off, but others love the attention. Indoor play is moderate and appropriate.

We can trust Zeeto alone for short periods.

Zeeto's behavior is cross between a golden retriever and a shepherd. The golden behavior is apparent in how he interacts with humans and in how much he loves to retrieve. The shepherd comes out mostly in his appearance and how he plays with other dogs. He's a great companion, smart, a quick learner, obedient and overall well behaved.
