Wyatt is a happy, energetic, and goofy dog. He is a 1-year-old australian cattle dog mix who loves getting pets, carrying as many toys as possible in his mouth, and zooming at top speed around the yard.

Wyatt has done great with every dog he has met. He loves zooming around the yard with his new dog friends. He has interacted with both high-energy and low-energy dogs and did great with both. Wyatt has a little more energy than most dogs and has done great taking corrections from other dogs that tell him to leave them alone. He will play with dogs that want to play and will leave the dogs that don’t want to play alone.

Wyatt is currently living with 4 cats and does amazing with them. He showed some interest in them initially but overall just ignores them. If he goes up to a cat and they swat at him, he will walk away.

Wyatt hasn’t met any small humans. He can get excited meeting new people and he would probably need to be reminded to stay calm and not knock over any small humans in his forever home. He loves all attention and does not mind sharing his space, toys, or food with anyone.

Wyatt is mostly quiet and rarely barks. He could do great in a house or apartment as long as his humans are willing to exercise him.

Wyatt, true to his breed, is a medium to high-energy dog. He would love humans that wants to be active with him. He would be a great dog for someone who likes to go running or is interested in doing agility. He gets his wiggles out while zooming around outside with his dog friends or playing fetch and is good about settling down inside when things are calm.

Wyatt has had previous professional training. He knows Sit, Lay down, Wait, Leave it, Drop it, and probably a couple more we haven't discovered yet. He is incredibly intelligent, treat motivated, and ready to learn more commands. He would do great in a home that wants to continue his training. Like most australian cattle dogs, Wyatt will need mental and physical outlets to keep him occupied. For Wyatt, this isn't a difficult task as he is happily entertained with just about everything. Snuffle mats or food dispensing toys for meals are a great mental outlet.

Wyatt sleeps in his crate at night and when we aren’t home. He is great about going into his crate for a treat and is happy to settle down for a nap right away.

Wyatt is mostly potty-trained but has had a couple of accidents as he adjusts to his new foster home.

Wyatt loves dog toys of all kinds. He loves soft toys the most and likes to chew on them but hasn’t destroyed any toys yet. You will find Wyatt carrying around 2-3 toys almost all the time. He happily shares his toys with the other dogs and will give his toys to his humans easily. Wyatt also loves playing fetch and will happily chase after a toy, bring it right back, and sit and wait for you to throw it again.

Wyatt is great about eating his meals right away and also likes treats. He is food-motivated and is a gentle treat-taker. He will happily share his food and treats with the other dogs around him.
