Meet Willow! This houndy girl is ready to sniff out her people. She is a playful, energetic and cuddly pup, that will be a great addition to just about any family.

Willow is a very typical, 3 month old puppy. She is a typical hound in that she loves to be sniffing around outside. She is sweet, affectionate and very interested in getting lots of attention from her people.

She spends her days practicing crate training, playing in the yard with his foster siblings and emptying out the toy box. She loves meal times and has done well sharing her eating space with the other puppy we are fostering, though I hang out pretty close and make sure everyone sticks to their own bowls. She plays hard and crashes hard after lots of playtime. After a busy day of playing, she loves to snuggle near the humans as the evening winds down.

Willow does pretty well with potty training if you keep her on a schedule. She goes outside right away after being let out of the crate, naps or bouts of heavy playtime. She does still have accidents though so she will need to be watched closely. She is used to being crated throughout the day with several breaks. She is usually crated for a couple hours at a time and then gets a 20-30 minute break to get her wiggles out. Right now she is crated out of sight from me when I work with but within earshot so she can still hear me. Overnight she is crated across the bedroom from me. She does hold her potty pretty well overnight but occasionally will still need a break.

Willow is a pretty friendly and confident girl and is interested in checking new people out pretty much right away. She doesn't have kids in her foster home but she did meet several at an event and did well with them. She is still busy growing teeth and gets mouthy when she gets excited so she would need supervision with really young kids until she learns those boundaries.

She currently has three other pups in her foster home; two adult dogs and another puppy about her same age. She plays mostly with the other puppy in her foster home. She is definitely the bossier of the two. They get along well but she will steal toys from the other puppy and will push for more play time when the other pup is ready for a break. She gets excited for time with the adult pups but she can be a little in the face and needs some help remembering to give them some space. She does take correction from them pretty well. I would suggest continued supervised socialization with other dogs but she is very playful/loves other dogs and would do great with another pup in her forever home.

Willow does have a kitty in her foster home. She is interested in the kitty and tries to play/chase with the cat. Based on my observations, I think she could live with a cat but would need supervised interaction and some correction from both felines and humans so she can learn those boundaries.

Willow gets most of her energy out playing with the other pups in her home. She loves wrestling and playing chase. She is a medium-high energy gal that likes long naps after play time. She does ok on leash but walks like a typical puppy so will need some practice. She gets distracted easily and likes to people watch and check everything out with her houndy snout. She does well in the car (crated) and settles in fairly quickly for the ride.

Willow hasn't been left alone too often but when we do leave, she needs to be crated as she is still very much a puppy. She will chew on cords, shoes, scraps on the floor, etc so will need to be closely monitored.

We have loved having this sweet, spunky pup with us and know she will bring lots of love and sass with her to her forever home.
