Updates
Willa is a medium energy, playful puppy who enjoys belly rubs and chew toys. She needs a buddy who will let her sit in their lap while she chews a toy or give her belly rubs on the ground. If you are looking for a puppy who wants to be a lapdog, she is your girl. She loves chasing toys across the room and is working on some basic commands such as sit, stay, come, and not jumping on people using the "down" command. Willa loves toys so much that she doesn't like sharing with other dogs, but she doesn't mind if you take or trade with her.
Willa does need help with crate training and exhibits mild separation anxiety when left alone. With positive reinforcement and slowly building up the distance, she will learn to love her crate and alone time. Her day usually begins around 7:30 AM with breakfast and a potty break, another potty break midday, and several potty breaks and play sessions in the evening until bedtime at 9:30 PM. She is very good at holding her potty and not having accidents in the house as long as she is on a consistent schedule.
While Willa is a lovebug, she is a little fearful of new people and situations, but she quickly warms up once she learns that you're her friend. Her leash skills need work as she is very excited to explore the world and pulls and stops sometimes. She is also afraid of loud noises, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she is sure to become a confident puppy.
If you're looking for a sweet lapdog who enjoys a handful of play sessions and belly rubs, this is your girl. As a puppy, she is still learning to be a brave girl on her own, and she will need a patient adopter to show her the ropes and work on crate training to decrease her separation anxiety.
Willa has not yet been spayed. She will be adopted out with an addendum to the adoption agreement to be altered at a later time.
