✅ Theodore has stolen our hearts and we do not know how to help him thrive. We have been interacting with him daily and holding him and giving him wet food but nothing seems to be bringing him out of his scared bubble.
✅ This poor pup is a fear biter but once you pick him up he will nestle into arms and look to you for security.
✅ He is so sweet but his fear runs deep.
✅ We did test him with another small puppy a while back and he growls and will snap if they get too close.
✅ He will tolerate them in the same room but does not like them in his personal space.

Theodore is a snuggle bug
He is a sweet pup that loves to sit on your lap and give kisses.
He’s a tiny guy but he can get up and down stairs, and can clump onto the couch.
He will follow you around until you sit and put him on your lap. And don’t stop petting him! He will kiss you until you give in and start petting him again! He’s very persistent.
He’s in that puppy / toddler stage where he will still try to chew on your fingers but put a toy in front of him and he’s redirected!
He loves playing with my big dogs, but needs a safe place for when they get to be too much. He loves watching them play from my lap.
Did I mention he’s kind of a lap dog?
He’s not too keen on the leash walking yet. He likes to chill outside in the sun.
He wants a home where he can be in someone’s lap 90% of the time. He wants a family that is patient and let him warm up to them at his own pace. He is just a little wary of strangers. He runs away and hides. (I wish I could do that sometimes!) He loves to work from home with me and chew on my lanyard.
He is happy as a clam when he is being held and petted. Sometimes though he will hide and not let you pick him up, not because he doesn’t like you, but because he’s being a little cautious.
It took about a week for him to come to me so I could pick him up.
