Teddy is a sweet, easy-going, and curious little guy who wants all the attention! He is potty and crate-trained; he is currently crated during the work day but could likely free roam. He sleeps in bed with me and goes on a morning and evening walk.
He is a medium-energy dog who does best with at least an hour of daily physical exercise. However, Teddy is able to keep up for longer walks or entertain himself with a chew when the weather doesn’t permit walks. Outside, he loves to run and sniff and be energetic- his little legs can go quite fast! Inside, he is generally calm- usually either following me around (especially in the kitchen) or napping.
Teddy was initially very apprehensive of new people, but he is beginning to say hi to strangers on walks. He has some mild anxiety in new situations but typically warms up to new people within a few minutes (treats help). Teddy is curious about children, but he startles easily, so he would do best living with older children who have more predictable movements.
Teddy politely greets dogs of all sizes on walks. He co-exists nicely with my dog and is respectful of her space. He does get jealous when my dog receives attention though. They don’t really play much yet, so Teddy would do best with a similarly calm dog or as an only dog. He would love to run around at a dog park once he got comfortable, but he wouldn’t like rough-housing with other dogs. Cats are unknown, but he is pretty interested in squirrels/bunnies outside.
Teddy loves to snuggle and burrow under blankets when he sleeps. Teddy is very loyal and protective, so he will bark at strange noises or people in my apartment but quickly redirects. He did wonderful meeting new people and dogs at a dog festival! He is well-behaved, treat-motivated, and a people pleaser. Teddy is the sweetest little bean who offers daily snuggles and laughs! Teddy is also a big adventure guy - he loves to hike new trails and attend dog-friendly events!
