Tech starts his day around 7 AM by getting let outside for a quick walk where he goes pee and poop. He walks very well on a leash and prefers to be on his walker's left side most of the time. He was an outdoor dog prior to coming up here so at first, he wasn’t too sure on when and where to go potty outside on walks, but he figured it out! He is rewarded with a tiny treat after going potty. After he is brought in, he eats his first meal of the day. During the day he comes to work with his current foster where he does well. He likes to be let out every couple hours for a walk to go potty or just to run off some energy. After Tech is done with work for the day, he eats his dinner and goes for a walk. Later in the evening we will go for a run to tire him out for bedtime.
Tech is great with people of all ages. Although he is shy at first he will eventually warm up. He prefers when you let him come up to you and sniff around instead of you going towards him. He doesn't like when people do the "dog voice" when you first meet him which is a funny little quirk. Just your normal voice will do at first for Tech!
Tech has met several children around the ages of 6-10 years old and does well. He sniffs them and follows them around. He even met a baby the other day and wasn't quite sure what it was, just sniffed and walked away. I think he would do well in a household with kids. He is a cuddler!
Tech has a medium energy level for most of the day. He is adaptable for the most part. He is still young and needs to run off his energy though! He would do best in a home that has a yard or land to run around or access to a dog park, running paths, etc. He currently lives in an apartment and does well with going on runs around town. He does well on the leash and likes to stay on the left side of you. He is a sniffer so be prepared to stop a few times for the smells. He also loves to be off the leash in the country areas or open fields! He listens very well.
He has only met a few dogs in his time with his current foster. He has done well with them. If the other dog is nice to him he will be nice to them.
Tech has been coming to work with his current foster and does well in the office. He has been left alone several times in the kennel for up to 4 hours and has not barked, gone potty, or whined in the kennel!
Overall, Tech is an amazing dog who would be great for any home! If you feed him yummy food, give him lots of exercise, and let him cuddle up to you he will be your best friend for life.
