Tango is the absolute sweetest! Tango instantly becomes best friends with everyone and is a huge lover of people, other dogs, and the bugs that he tries to play with. He is even a helper with yard work, bringing me all the sticks and leaves that he finds. He seems to handle loud noises with no worries, not seeming to be phased by thunder, fireworks, or even a large group of children running by him for a foul ball at the Mallards game.

Last weekend Tango spent several hours at a Mallards game for a Fetch event, and I could not be more impressed with how he handled himself with all the chaos around him. He was approached and petted by so many people, including young children. He was fantastic with them all, allowing them to feed him treats and give him pets. At times, when he got tired, he even chose to lay in the shade and watch all the people from a distance. Not only was he a rock star at the Mallards game, but he also joined us on the patio at a local restaurant and was very well behaved.

Tango was quick to learn Sit and Come, although his recall is still that of a puppy, he does love to run at you full speed if you have a handful of treats and make it worth his while. The boy is a quick learner! In a matter of a few attempts, he learned to go from a Sit to a Down position. We are also currently working on Leave It and continue to work on his recall. Tango has also made it a full week with no accidents in the house! He continues to go into his crate well, sleeping in the crate in our bedroom through the night. In the morning it is breakfast time, followed by some play time or a walk, and then he is ready for another little nap. He does well in the crate during the day, spending up to another 5 hours in the crate while we work.

Tango gets a lot of his energy out by playing with our two resident dogs, wrestling and chasing each other around the yard or house. He is also a very big fan of squeaky toys, sticks, food, treats, and ice cubes! Tango is so eager for dinner time he initially thought he could scarf his food down and then run and eat one of our other dogs' food. We have been working on this and he has made some very good progress, now often choosing to sit and watch or come to me for pets. Being so food motivated is a great plus for training, and this boy is smart, he seems to pick up on anything quickly.

This little guy is ready to find his forever home, and ready to show you his love with his puppy kisses and snuggles. He is an amazing puppy at only 3.5 months, and with the right forever home, he can continue to impress and learn. Are you that forever home for him?

Due to Tango’s age and likelihood to be a larger breed, he has not yet been neutered. He will be adopted out with an addendum to the adoption agreement to be altered at an appropriate age.
