Taavi found her family May 4, 2021!
Taavi sleeps in his crate until we are ready to take him out around 7:00 am. On leash, he will pee as soon as he is out, but prefers to have a walk around the block to perform a poo. He gets his breakfast when we return and will take a nap or play with our other foster for a few hours. We take him out to our rural property every day or every other day where Taavi can run freely. He does not wander farther than the area we keep mowed around the house. He has discoverer ground squirrels and will spend time stalking them. He's a great companion on our walks around the property and enjoys running down our paths and into the brush and tall grass. He never wanders too far away and comes when we call him. After a quick walk at night, he's happy to spend the night in his crate.
He is interested in all new people. Taavi tends to bark and wag his tail at the same time. He does not jump on anyone. As soon as he greets new people he calms down. This behavior is the same inside and outside. Taavi has not met kids.
Taavi loves to be active. He keeps up with us on our walks and seems to have limitless energy. If he's inside on a less active day, he likes to sit in front of a window to watch birds and other outdoor activity. He's good on leash except for reactivity when other dogs are in sight.
He loves all other dogs and is very appropriate. He’s had no problems greeting new dogs inside the home and outside. Taavi does not live with cats.
Taavi will sit by the window or on the couch and nap. He does not bark when left alone.
Taavi was slow to warm up to us. After 3-4 weeks, he now seeks us out and wants to sit or lie next to us or in our lap. He would be great companion to another dog and thrives with other dogs.
