Swirl likes to wake up early, but so does everyone else in the house! He eats his morning meal and then goes for a walk. He has play time with the other dogs in the house or sleeps most of the morning. He goes outside in the afternoon for another walk or outdoor play. He has his evening meal around 5 pm. He has more play time or snuggles with his people in the evening. He is usually in his crate for the night around 9pm. He will sleep in his crate until morning, but did wake once in the night to go outside for potty.
Swirl loves people! He gets very excited to see new people and will run up to them for pets and attention. He loves the people in his foster home and likes to follow them everywhere! He has not had exposure to children while in my care.
Swirl has medium energy level. He loves to run and play, but he does not mind being chill in the house either. He definitely still needs his exercise and loves to explore on his walks.
Swirl currently is in a home with 3 other dogs and does very well. He loves to engage in play. He does get a little over excited at times but is working on his manners with other dogs. He has not met any dogs outside the home.
Swirl also lives with a cat. He does well with the cat but will chase it at times. The cat in the home likes to try to play with Swirl every once in a while and they do well.
Since he’s still just a puppy and has the potential to get into trouble while we’re gone, Swirl needs to be in his crate when left alone. He also needs continued training for boundaries, leash training and basic commands. He is a fast learner and is very treat motivated!
Swirl is working on house training - he has only had a couple accidents in the house. He is using a harness for walking and is getting better on leash manners.
Swirl is awesome! He is super chill, but always ready for fun and adventure! He seems to go with the flow of the household: if his people are active, so is he. If his people just want to snuggle, so does he! Swirl is just the sweetest cuddle bug you will ever meet! He loves to with his people. He is content to entertain himself with toys as well. Swirl is only 4 months old, but already doing well with his training. He is looking for a leader to follow and guide him! Could that be you?
