Sugar has a family to call her own as of October 12, 2020!

Sugar arrived in Wisconsin over Labor Day weekend.  She and her 5 adorable litter mates (plus sweet mama dog, Shadow) came from Louisiana following the awful weather there. Sugar was a pretty lucky pup, and has been in a loving foster home since she was about 2 weeks old.  Shadow took good care of her babies, and they are CUTE and well socialized puppies.

Sugar is doing awesome on potty training.  She is getting better and better at spending time in her crate.  She typically goes from about 11 pm to 5:30 am without needing to go outside for a potty break, and I think that's pretty darn good for a 3 month old puppy.

She has the BEST personality.  If we were in the business of keeping puppies, we'd adopt this sweet girl in a minute!  She is interested in meeting new people, but isn't overly excitable about new situations.  She is an A+ snuggler. She is easy to redirect when she is up to typical puppy shenanigans (like chewing on shoes).  She is super attentive to her humans and seems really in sync with what we want her to be doing/not doing.  She's a smart girl and already knows how to "sit" and "come."  She plays really nicely with other dogs.  She is pretty low energy, especially for a puppy, and does just fine with frequent short walks. She plays fetch with a tiny puppy tennis ball (I told you she was smart!) and if you aren't available, will play fetch with herself by chucking her ball with her muzzle and then chasing it.  She is a brave/confident girl, and even when things have startled her at first (for example, my kids racing around outside on scooters) she just observes for a bit, and then is totally over it.  She is great with my 4 and 6 year old, and pretty easy to distract when she goes into "baby shark" puppy teething mode.

Sugar is also a really pretty dog.  She has a yellow/white coat that is softer and whiter than a lab's typical coat, and the coolest blue-green eyes.  Her nails are white so they're easy to trim (bonus!) and her little pink paws are just yummy.  She has a white spot on the back of her neck, between her eyes, and on the tip of her tail.  She also makes the cutest baby pig noises when you pick her up if she's sleepy.

Sugar is still a puppy, so she will need some help finishing up potty and crate training, but this little girl is a real gem.  She is going to make a family very happy.
