Meet Socks! Sweet, shy, and full of heart — Socks is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Originally from Louisiana, he spent his early life in a shelter, and now he’s discovering that humans can be kind and trustworthy.
Once you earn his trust, Socks will show you just how loving he can be. He absolutely loves going for walks and feels his most confident when he’s out exploring with his foster mom and the other foster dogs. After a good walk, it’s like he’s on a high of loving life — the world suddenly feels exciting, and not so scary.
Socks is happy and playful, especially around other dogs. He does wonderfully with them and often looks to them for reassurance and guidance. We’re not sure yet how he’d do as an only dog, but he’s happiest around canine friends. He’s also curious about cats and tends to take cues from how the other dogs around him behave.
Socks will thrive with a patient, understanding owner who can give him the time and space he needs to build trust.
