✅ Shylo’s journey began with a hoarding case involving the seizure of over 30 dogs and puppies. The conditions she lived in were heartbreaking.
Shylo is a special dog in search of a patient human or humans who wants to watch her come out of her shell at her own pace. In the right environment, she is very easy to care for and will make an excellent long-term companion.
Shylo co-exists wonderfully with our 70 lb female pit and 35 lb male hound. She desperately wants them to chase her around the yard, and her play bows and bunny hops to entice them (albeit unsuccessfully) keep us laughing.
Shylo is low-medium energy and very rarely barks. When she is not running in the yard, her favorite place to be is curled up on the couch or bed. Shylo prefers to be admired rather than snuggled, but she has started accepting some pets (she is so silky smooth).
Since Shylo has not yet discovered the joys of what a leash walk can bring, at this time she’s looking for a home with a fenced in yard or gated area of some sort. This allows her to be consistent with her bathroom routine, which she is working hard at mastering.
Shylo is looking for a loving home that is excited at the prospect of seeing her grow and flourish. She is gentle, and so darn cute, and we are lucky to be part of her journey to finding her forever people!
