Updates

Sammie wakes up at about 6:30am and immediately goes outside to use the bathroom. Then he has breakfast and usually goes back outside for a little bit. After that Sammie has some play time, he loves chasing his stuffed gnome around the house. Then depending on human work schedules Sammie is crated for about 5 hours, but he's done up to 7 without problems. He typically gets a Kong during this time to chew on and enjoy while the humans are at work. After some crate time, he likes to play for a bit, before he's ready for a nap. In the evening he likes to alternate between nap breaks and playing. He gets eats dinner around 6PM and then goes back to a nap/play cycle. He loves his last adventure outside at night because the moths are out and he loves trying to catch them. He's really happy to go to his bed because he knows he'll get a treat. The first night, he whined for about 20 minutes, and within a few days he was down to a minute or two.

Sammie is very happy to meet every dog, and person, but he can be a little jumpy or nippy when he's excited. If jumping doesn't get him attention after a few seconds, he'll sit and wait for attention, so he's halfway to having things figured out there.

He's had limited exposure to children, but he acts about the same as adults, with a little bit of jumping or nipping.

Sammie is a medium energy puppy. He likes to take lots of breaks and when he's outside, he can run around for a bit, or he's just as happy to lay about. The important thing is he likes being with his people, whatever they're doing.

Sammie is excited when he meets a new dog; he'll bark and jump, but will settle down within a couple of minutes and behaves himself.

Unknown how Sammie does with cats.

Sammie will whine for a little bit and then it's nap time. He does really well on his own and has not had any bathroom accidents in his crate.

Sammie is a wonderful, loving puppy. He loves his humans and when they are home his favorite place to be is right next to them. Sammie is a puppy so he will still need training but he is very treat motivated and a pretty quick learner.
