Little Ronnie found his people on December 15, 2020!
Ron wakes up at about 6:30am and goes outside right away. He plays for a bit with his foster sister and eats his breakfast. He goes in the crate when I go to work, and he whines and barks for about 10-15 minutes before calming down. When I come home he is VERY excited to see me, and he plays with his foster sister and all their toys. He needs to go out to go potty often. He does use a potty pad occasionally. After a couple of hours and some lunch, he takes a nap. When he gets up, he plays some more and eats dinner. He sleeps through the night for about 7-8 hours, and rarely has an accident.
Ron loves people! He gets excited and wags his tail when he sees people outside. He loves attention and cuddles from people in the home. He is very, very sweet and affectionate. He has not meet children or cats yet.
He has typical puppy energy. He loves to play with toys, chew bully sticks and wrestle with his foster sister. He loves to play fetch and tug of war. He does pretty well on a leash but gets distracted easily (although he is improving with the help of training treats). When he is on a leash and his foster sister is too, he tries to play with her instead of focusing on walking or going potty.
Ron loves to play with other dogs. Over Thanksgiving break, he was around his foster sister as well as a Golden Retriever puppy, and they wrestled and played with toys. He did really well with the puppy especially. He is a little mouthy and can play rough at times, but he takes cues from other dogs pretty well. When he sees dogs outside, he is curious and a little shy at first, but does like to meet them.
He is crated when I leave. Ron does have some separation anxiety and will whine/bark for about 10-15 minutes after going in the crate. Ron whines in the car but will lay down and nap after a few minutes to calm down.
Ron is a very sweet, snuggly boy. He is such a lover!
