Updates

Rambo starts his mornings with doing little tippy tappies while waiting to get let out of the kennel then go does his business then it's time for breakfast. If I have to go into the office he spends his day in the kennel otherwise he hangs out in my office with me while I work. He either chews on toys, plays with one of my cats, or sleeps under the desk. In the evenings he likes to spend his time playing, taking a walk, running around, or cuddling.

Rambo's opinion of people is the following: If you have a hand, then they're meant to be petting him. He loves people and if you come near him he will be waiting for love and affection.

Rambo has a medium energy level for the most part with at least one set of zoomies needed in a day. He easily entertains himself especially with a puffball that he will just throw around for himself to catch and chase. We go on about a mile walk every couple days and he enjoys it along with hanging out outside on nice days. Walking on the leash, Rambo is very nice and doesn't pull, however he can never decide on a side that he wishes to walk on but has gotten a little better with consistent walks.

Rambo does really well with my resident dogs and meeting them went very well! He respects my corgi's boundaries and plays with my pit mix. He has shown some resource guarding a few times with food and high value treats or cuddling on me all alone. Setting boundaries of where we eat and who gets to cuddle and when has kept the peace and made things good in the house for everyone.

He does pretty well with my cats, he has started playing with my more friendly one but still will chase my more skittish one if she runs by.

Rambo does very well in his kennel while I'm out of the house or overnight!

Rambo was positive for Anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease, in April but is not showing any clinical signs. A positive result for Anaplasmosis just indicates antibodies to this bacteria, not necessarily active infection. Per our rescue protocol, he is currently being given a round of antibiotics.

Rambo is such an awesome pup! He has the personality of a big dog in a small dog's body, he's pretty much going to be a forever puppy with his size! Rambo has a few resource guarding things we are working on and can be stubborn about really trying to get what he wants, but he really just wants to make you happy. He still has some puppy tendencies like chewing on random things he shouldn't, and our biggest thing we are working on is not jumping on people. Rambo was very confused by the recent snow, but then he got so excited he just ran around everywhere! Rambo is really such a cool guy, and he's going to make someone a great best friend!
