Updates

Mitch is a great sleeper and will sleep soundly overnight in his kennel for 8 hours. We typically get up between 5:30-6, go outside, eat and play for an hour. The first hour of the day is currently his most active playtime. He's a typical puppy and will have bursts of energy and be interested in play throughout the day followed by a couple hours of napping. We are currently feeding him 3x/day and going on 1 shorter walk and 1 longer walk throughout the day. Mitch does well walking on the leash overall, but we are working on teaching him not to pull when out walking. He can walk for short durations up to about a mile currently and loves being out.

Mitch is a lovebug! He loves to interact and be close with his humans and the other dogs in the house. Mitch is very social and enjoys meeting new people and dogs when outside in the yard or on walks.

Mitch does great with children of all ages and has been exposed to kids ranging from 1 year - 18 years. He's very social and sweet. During periods of play he can mistakenly get an article of clothing or tend to have typical puppy mouthy behavior, but is easily redirected and engages with appropriate toys when corrected.

Mitch is a typical, medium energy puppy who loves to play as much as he loves to snuggle and sleep. Mitch does well on the leash overall although is still learning good manners and tends to pull when he's excited. He very much enjoys being out on walks and playing outside.

Mitch loves dogs and is very interested in being close to and engaging with dogs. Mitch is very interested in being social with other dogs when out and about and would do well in a home with other dogs.

Mitch is currently fostered in a home with an older 16 year old cat. He's curious about our kitty when she's in his eyeline or being loud and meowing, but is non reactive and ha shown no inclination to chase or pursue her.

Mitch is crate trained and kenneled when he's going to be alone, unsupervised and overnight. Occasionally when crated during the day he will protest and whine for a minute or so, but quickly settles in and will often put himself in his crate throughout the day when he's tired. Due to his age he is not currently left out and alone.
