Rafe found his forever humans on December 4, 2020!

Rafe likes to get up early and go straight out to potty. He then enjoys his breakfast and more outside/potty/exercise time. He plays and naps throughout the day and then repeats his morning routine around 5 p.m., plays and snuggles, then to his crate for bedtime.

He loves people and snuggling. He will bond easily with his human and is training easily on basic commands. He knows sit and is walking on the leash pretty well. He comes to his human but more by expression (whistling, patting, calling) then the word come. He's a delight!

The neighbor children ages 3-10 years old have all played with him. He likes to jump and run around them. He is fine to be picked up but would prefer play during the active times of his day.

Rafe needs exercise and something to do. He loves to play with his foster dog sister when he's not busy on a walk or chewing a toy. He will need exercise (playtime and walks) at minimum 3 times per day for an hour but probably better if it was 6 times for a half hour each. His leash walking is coming along great. He is building confidence rapidly.

He stays with his foster sister and an old lab in his foster home. He wants the lab to play but then when the lab walks away, he finds something else to do. He often barks meeting new dogs but is not aggressive just nervous. Rafe has not meet a cat.

Rafe crates at night with ease. During the day he is in his play area with his sister when his foster mom goes out for a few hours at a time. Potty training is going well there too but the area is defined with only his toys and a pee pad.

Rafe's breed mix is known for energy. He will do best with a family who wants to exercise and interact!
